This article is marked as obsolete.

There are multiple ways to upgrade your existing version of Access Manager to the new 1.5 version.

Because this involves an upgrade to the operating system, the upgrade cannot be done via the Web UI as usual.

Depending on the version of Access Manager you are currently using you have specific processes you can use to perform your upgrade or migration, please see the links below for the instructions for each method.

Upgrading using backup/restore to a new system

Upgrading in-place

If you are on version 1.3, we recommend to upgrade to version 1.4 and Debian 8 first, before continuing to upgrade to 1.5 and Debian 9.

Version 1.2 cannot be upgraded in-place and you must use the above backup/restore method.
