Upgrading the VPN client from version 3.0.2 to a later one

Chris Dakin

Version 3.0.2 of the LogonBox VPN client had a bug with its updating mechanism.

This means that when the client attempts to download any updates that it detects, this will result in an error.

This issue has now been fixed with version 3.0.3 of the client, so version 3.0.3 will be able to automatically update to later releases.

However, in order to get version 3.0.2 upgraded, this will require some manual effort.

Manual upgrade: option 1

The simplest method should be to just run the updater executable that exists in the VPN client install directory (updater.exe on Windows, updater on Mac and Linux).

This should download the new version and launch the installer.

Manual upgrade: option 2

Alternatively you can log in to your LogonBox VPN web UI and download the latest client from the UI there and run the new installer manually.
