Restricting access by time of day

Ashley Grant

Authorized access to servers can take many forms outside of Authentication Flows. LogonBox provides the ability to limit user access based on the time of day.

Navigate to Administration->Security & Permissions->Logon Times.

Setting up a logon time restriction

Select the Create option to display the Create Logon Time Restriction window. Set a name to identify the restriction.

Using the Allowed Times option you can choose individual days, or groups of days, that the users will be able to login to the system. Next, set the time period that logon processes will be accepted between.

You can add as many extra allowed times lines as you require.

 Finally in the Assignment tab set the roles, users, and/or groups that will be affected by this time restriction.

Select the Create button to complete the creation process. You'll be returned to the Logon Times page with the new entry created.

When a user now attempts to login outside of the hours that have been set they will be blocked with the following message notifying them of the block.
